Born in Yerevan, Armenia, Eduard Ter Ghazarayan Junior was drawn to the world of micro art from a young age, captivated by imagination and precision. Though he fulfilled a promise to his late mother by earning a law degree, his true path led elsewhere—into the microscopic world of wonder inspired by his grandfather, legendary micro-miniaturist Eduard Ter Ghazaryan.
What began as curating exhibitions of his grandfather’s unique works evolved into an apprenticeship rooted in discipline, silence, and divine inspiration. After the Maestro’s passing, Eduard continued alone—developing his own style, inventing custom tools, and dedicating himself to an art form where even a breath can destroy months of work.
His creations, often smaller than a grain of rice, and thinner than a human hair, have been featured in various museums and gifted to world known celebrities and global leaders—including a one-millimeter portrait of Pope Francis, personally presented during the Pontiff’s 2016 visit to Armenia.
In 2018, Eduard founded the Ter Ghazaryans’ Micro Art Museum in Yerevan, honoring over 80 years of legacy and craftsmanship. Though the Museum later closed due to COVID 19 and suddenly erupted war, Eduard’s journey pressed forward—relocating to the United States to fulfill his grandfather’s final wish and continue shaping micro art’s future
Today, he works from his private U.S. studio, blending science, soul, and storytelling to create pieces that defy scale—each one a tribute to vision, faith, and the unseen forces that as a bridge connect two lives, two eras, and а single vision: that beauty, even at the smallest scale, can transcend injustice, borders, and silence.
